Raquai Johenkins, 20, of Trenton, was charged with robbery, assault, and resisting arrest after he attacked a 60-year-old woman when he attempted to steal her cell phone. Johenkins was arrested shortly after the incident by police.

Johenkins was quickly released and FREE TO GO after the Arnold Foundation’s “Pretrial Risk Assessment” tool determined that he was not a danger to the community or a flight risk and therefore should not be subject to any accountable release – just a “promise” to appear.

Man attacked, tried to rob 60-year-old woman, cops say

A 20-year-old man was arrested for trying to rob a woman on a Chambersburg street, Trenton police said.

Raquai Johenkins is facing assault and robbery charges after police say he attacked a 60-year-old woman and tried to steal her phone from her hand, according to police spokesman Lt. David Cruz.

The attack occurred shortly after 2 p.m. Monday on the 1000 block of South Clinton Avenue, Cruz said. 

A neighbor intervened in the assault and Johenkins fled the scene, Cruz said.

Johenkins was later found on Hewitt Street and taken into custody after resisting arrest, Cruz said. 

The woman suffered minor facial cuts, Cruz said.
