Kalief Tyler, 24, of Woodbury, was arrested and charged with the possession of $10,000 worth of psychedelic mushrooms, an imitation firearm, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia after a raid of his apartment.
Tyler was released and FREE TO GO under NJ Bail Reform after the Arnold Foundation’s “Pretrial Risk Assessment” tool determined that he was not a danger to the community or a flight risk and therefore should not be subject to any accountable release – just a “promise” to appear.

Cops seize $10K in magic mushrooms in Woodbury raid

Police seized $10,000 worth of psychedelic mushrooms and arrested a city man following a joint investigation between Woodbury and West Deptford police.
Officers executed a search warrant at a Cooper Street apartment on Thursday morning, where they found two ounces of fully grown psilocybin mushrooms packaged for distribution and an active culturing operation, police said.
That operation included 70 jars filled with growing mushrooms in an inoculation chamber. Officers also removed three large Tupperware containers which held mushrooms in their early stages.
In addition, officers found an imitation firearm, multiple baggies of suspected cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Kalief Tyler, 24, the target of the weeks-long investigation, was arrested at the apartment and charged with maintaining/operating a controlled dangerous substance production facility, as well as several other drug and weapons offenses.
