Trenton, NJ – Loaded Handgun and Marijuana During Traffic Stop FREE TO GO under NJ Bail Reform

A routine traffic stop in Trenton led to the arrest of three on weapons and drug charges…now FREE TO GO under NJ Bail Reform.

Erik Dickerson, 26, Timothy Wimbush, 27, both of Trenton, and Laquan Wright, 30, of Morrisville, Pa., were arrested on weapons and drug charges after being pulled over for driving without headlights on.

NJ.com reported on Mar 15, 2017 that during the stop, officers noticed the smell of burnt marijuana in the car.  After the driver, Dickerson, and his passengers were ordered out of the vehicle, the officer discovered a loaded handgun under one of the seats.

All three were arrested on charges of possession of a handgun and drug charges.  Dickerson and Wright were released on their own recognizance.  Wimbush was released on his own recognizance after his CJR hearing under new bail reform guidelines.
