A Trenton man is facing drug charges after police found nearly 600 decks of heroin inside his car, authorities said.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes and Warrant Unit received a report of a suspicious vehicle on Hanford Place around 8 a.m. Friday and saw the black Honda matching the description, police said.

When they pulled alongside the car, 24-year-old Marquis Foster, was reclined in the driver’s seat smoking a cigarette, police said.

Police say he immediately sat up, tossed an object to the passenger’s side floorboard and tried to get out of the car.

But the detectives quickly grabbed him and took him into custody, police said. The package contained 593 decks of heroin, police said.
