Police arrest three men in Teaneck car burglaries

(incident reported by NorthJersey.com – Jan 20, 2017)

Teaneck police arrested three men on charges related to car burglaries Sunday morning.

On Friday, acting Teaneck Police Chief Glenn O’Reilly announced that around 6:40 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a report of three men breaking into vehicles. The call reported three men in dark clothing with flashlights around Mildred Street and Johnson Avenue.

Officer Glenn Coley arrived on the scene and saw Mohamed Monessar, 19, of Ridgefield walking on Queen Anne Road near Johnson Avenue. Coley said he found suspected marijuana, a flashlight, currency, a pair of sunglasses and a pair of headphones in Monessar’s possession.

Around 7:35 a.m., Officer Michael Danenza stopped Wellington Antun Jr., 20, of Teaneck and Bryan Pacheco, 20, of Bogota by Queen Anne Road and Copley Avenue near the site of the original report.

Police said Antun had suspected marijuana, a flashlight and currency in his possession. Pacheco had a flashlight, a knife and currency in his possession.

Questioning the suspects and footprints left in snow helped authorities connect the suspects to the vehicles that were broken into.
