Paramus, NJ – Jamil Robinson, 23, of Haledon, was arrested after he sold heroin to an undercover detective – the result of an ongoing investigation of claims that Robinson was selling drugs in Paramus.

Robinson was charged with distribution and resisting arrest.

Robinson was later released and FREE TO GO under NJ Bail Reform after the Arnold Foundation’s “Pretrial Risk Assessment” tool determined that he was not a danger to the community or a flight risk and therefore should not be subject to any accountable release – just a “promise” to appear.

Haledon man accused of selling heroin to undercover detective in Paramus

A Haledon man was arrested and accused of selling heroin in Paramus to an undercover detective, authorities announced on Thursday.

Jamil Robinson, 23, was arrested on Tuesday after authorities received information that he was selling drugs in Paramus, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. Robinson resisted arrest after the transaction with the undercover detective before being apprehended, the prosecutor’s office stated.

He faces charges for resisting arrest and selling heroin and was held at Bergen County Jail pending his first court appearance. 

The Paramus and Hackensack police departments investigated along with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
