Prosecutor: Paramus Teacher’s Assistant From Teaneck Sold Pot Near School

A teacher’s assistant from Teaneck who works as a teacher’s assistant at a county school in Paramus for children and adults with special needs was arrested on pot-selling charges, authorities said.

Walter A. Farrior Jr., 26, was taken into custody after selling marijuana to an undercover detective, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said.

Farrior, who worked at New Bridges Middle School, was charged with two distributing drugs within 1,000 feet of Bogota High School, which is two blocks from his Degraw Avenue home.

He was released without bail pending a first appearance in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court on May 24.

New Bridges Middle School is operated by the Bergen County Special Services School District.
