Anthony V. Casale, Jr, 25, of Belleville, who was charged with vehicular homicide after the tragic death of a pregnant Verona mother is now FREE TO GO under NJ Bail Reform guidelines.

Belleville man pleads not guilty to charges in death of Verona mother

Anthony V. Casale Jr., 25, was charged with first degree death by auto in connection with the death of Megan E. Villanella, 34, of Verona, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office. Villanella was pregnant and due to give birth in May at the time of her death when she was hit by a car while waiting at a bus stop in Verona with her brother.

Casale was also issued summonses for driving while under the influence, driving while under the influence within 1,000 feet of a school, careless driving, reckless driving and failure to maintain his lane, the Prosecutor’s Office stated. He was additionally charged with second degree assault by auto and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia, according to the Prosecutor’s Office.

Casale has sense been released by court order on Mar 16, 2017 with “conditions.”  8 days for the unaccountable release of yet another “non-violent” offense.
