Alleged car thief found burglarizing home, cops say

FRANKLIN TWP – Police say a township woman stole a car and burglarized a home in separate incidents last month.

Lauren Suprun, 29, of Malaga, is accused of stealing a vehicle parked at the Malaga Wawa on Feb. 6.

The vehicle, which was stolen while the victim was inside the store, was recovered Feb. 14 in the parking lot of the Days Inn on Delsea Drive in Vineland.

Evidence found in the vehicle led investigators to Suprun, who was charged with theft. Police have also issued a warrant for a 29-year-old Vineland man in connection with that case.

On Feb. 28, police responded to the 1400 block of Willow Grove Road for a residential burglary report. The homeowner said she arrived home and found the burglar, later identified as Suprun, in the house.

The intruder ran from the home into a wooded area at Willow Grove and Little Mill roads. While a search of the area didn’t turn up the suspect, Suprun was arrested at a Franklin Township business on March 2 for an unrelated incident.

During processing, she admitted that she burglarized the home and stole items, police said. She was charged with burglary and theft in that case.

Under bail reform regulations, she was released on a summons pending court appearances on both incidents, police said.
