“It feels more like if I’m in jail.”

“Hi good afternoon I would like to share my story of what happened to me on April 11th.”

“I went to my friend’s house to buy a toy for my baby which she was 2 months old back then and while I was waiting for my friend to come out her house this guy approaches my car and he tries to break into my car while I was in my car with my baby.”

“Thank God he didn’t do nothing he just run off with my purse so I call the police eventually the police got him this happened on April 11th and I receive a call on April 12th saying that the guy was released.”

“So now I’m afraid to go to the park to take a walk with my baby on the stroller or to go walking to them downtown with my baby because I’m afraid I’m going to see that guy or I’m afraid something is going to happen because now it’s like they do something bad and they get released the next day.”

“I think that shouldn’t be that way I don’t feel secure anymore especially now that I have a baby I’m really scared.”

“To be honest I don’t go out of my house anymore and if I need something I go with my husband. And when I’m in my house I have all my doors locked and my windows.”
“It feels more like if I’m in jail.”

At the request of the victim, we did not release her name.
