Marlton man charged with distributing child porn

(arrest reported by NJ.com – Apr 17 2017)

Authorities have charged a Marlton man with possession and distribution of child pornography.

Michael W. Froehlich, 29, of Lady Diana Circle, was charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of children, as well as possession of a controlled dangerous substance for having more than 50 grams of marijuana in his possession, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.

The investigation began in January when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children contacted the BCPO about Froehlich’s online activities.

He allegedly uploaded an image of a nude pre-pubescent male and shared it in an online chatroom, authorities said.

Prosecutor’s office and Evesham Township Police personnel executed a search warrant at Froehlich’s home on Friday morning and seized a thumb drive containing images of child pornography and other digital storage devices that will be analyzed.
