MANALAPAN, NJ – One man assaulted another with a baseball bat in Manalapan Township earlier this month and was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, police said.

Anthony Sabatino, 20, of Manalapan, was arrested last Wednesday, February 22 at 3 p.m. after he got into a physical altercation with an acquaintance, a 30-year-old man, police said. The victim was injured enough to require medical attention, Capt. Thomas Barstow said. It is unknown what the dispute was over.

Sabatino was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon, the baseball bat. He was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a bail hearing. Patrolman Seth Kreizman made the arrest. (RELEASED 2/24/17 by Court Order)

  1. I live in Manalapan and went to the same school as Anthony. Alot of people we both knew or hungout with together couldn’t stand him anymore because all he did was screw up their lives. I would’ve sued him if it was me.
