2 arrested after cops locate stolen vehicle during ‘virtual patrol’

Two men were arrested Saturday after an officer located a stolen vehicle while he was conducting a virtual patrol at the Atlantic City Police Department’s surveillance center.

The officer saw the vehicle reported stolen earlier in the day on the beach block of Texas Avenue, police said.

Responding officers found two men inside and arrested them without incident, according to police.

Gregory Jenkins, 24, of Atlantic City, was charged with receiving stolen property. Police also added drug charges after finding 40 bags of heroin in his possession.

Jonathan Lopez, 26, of Wildwood, was also charged with receiving stolen property.

Both were released on a summons, police said.
