Wilmington, DE – Man arrested with loaded Beretta handgun, heroin, and pills FREE TO GO on a “pinky promise”

Adam B. Radcliffe, 30, of Wilmington, was arrested after reports of a suspicious person in the parking lot of the Kirkwood Highway Applebees restaurant led police to investigate. Radcliffe was found to be in possession of a loaded .25 caliber Beretta handgun, .21 grams of heroin, and 7.5 doses of Alprazolam.

Radcliffe was released and FREE TO GO on a $4,300 unsecured bond. With an “unsecured bond”, the defendant simply “promises” to pay the full face amount of the bond should he/she not appear in court.

Suspicious person report at Marshallton-area Applebee’s leads to gun, drug charges

Reports of a suspicious person in the parking lot of a restaurant near Marshallton led to the arrest of a Wilmington man on gun and drug charges, Delaware State Police announced Monday. 

According to authorities, officers were dispatched to the Applebee’s Restaurant at 4301 Kirkwood Highway on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at 9:35 p.m., for reports of a man, later identified as 30-year-old Adam B. Radcliffe, possibly in possession of a gun while riding a bike through the lot. 

 

Arriving officers said they observed a Radcliffe, who matched the provided description, standing near the restaurant and, when they approached him, he attempted to flee on foot. 

He was taken into custody following a brief pursuit, and was found to be in possession of a loaded .25 caliber Beretta handgun, .21 grams of heroin, and 7.5 doses of Alprazolam.
