Man with NJ Bail Reform ankle monitor draws loaded handgun during police chase

Winslow Township – A Winslow man wearing a court-ordered bail reform ankle monitor from a prior arrest drew a loaded .32-caliber revolver during a police chase – later arrested.

Terrell Aycox, 18, was charged with possession of handgun for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of school property, possession of a firearm while committing a drug offense, and resisting arrest.

The incident occurred after reports of an armed suspect located in Villanova Court led police to Aycox – who took off running when police approached him.

As officers chased Aycox, the officers witnessed Aycox pull the handgun from his waistband. The officer in pursuit was able to take Aycox to the ground and disarm him.

Aycox was also in possession of crack cocaine and marijuana.

An 18-year-old Camden County man wearing a court-ordered monitoring bracelet was arrested Monday after police say he drew a loaded revolver during a chase.

Crack cocaine, marijuana and a fully loaded revolver were confiscated after the 4 p.m. Monday incident near the Villanova Court home at the Manor Hall Development, township police said in a statement.

Terrell Aycox was charged with possession of handgun for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of school property, possession of a firearm while committing a drug offense, and resisting arrest, according to a statement by police.

Police said Aycox was wearing the court-ordered monitoring bracelet as a condition of New Jersey Bail Reform from a prior arrest.
