Hoboken man facing gun, drug and kidnapping charges

(reported by NJ.com – Sept 2 2017)

Hoboken police found a shotgun and handgun when they responded to a call of a woman being held against her will on Tuesday and arrested the 31-year-old father of the woman’s baby.

Kevin F. Keller, of Bloomfield Street, is charged with kidnapping, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of suspected cocaine, the criminal complaint filed in Criminal Justice Reform Court in Jersey City says.

An arriving officer found a shotgun on the kitchen counter and spoke to the woman who said that she was held against her will by Keller while the pair argued, the complaint says.

She said that at some point she dialed 991, the complaint says, adding that she told police the 1-year-old child was in the bedroom during the incident.

Asked if he had additional weapons, Keller told police there was a handgun in the loft bedroom. There, police found a 9mm handgun, as well as loose rounds and magazines. Keller was then arrested and police found he had two bags of suspected cocaine, says the complaint, which has some information redacted.
