Craig Sorokach, 28, of Brick, was arrested Saturday for attempting to sexually assault a 15-year-old girl he met online – one day later Sorokach is FREE TO GO and released by court order under NJ Bail Reform.

Sorokach is charged with sexual assault, enticing a child, attempting to endanger the welfare of a child, and attempted obscenity to a minor.

Investigators: N.J. man tried to meet 15-year-old for sex

A Brick Township man is facing charges including attempted sexual assault after investigators say he tried to set up a meeting with a teenage girl for sex.

Craig Sorokach, 28, was arrested Saturday after he arranged online to meet the 15-year-old girl in Howell, according to a statement from the office of Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

In addition to attempted sexual assault, Sorokach is charged with enticing a child by various means, attempting to endanger the welfare of a child and attempted obscenity to a minor, according to the Prosecutor’s Office.

The Prosecutor’s Office did not specify how it became aware of Sorokach’s alleged crimes, but its investigation was conducted in conjunction with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
